Abstract

Based on population projection data, it is estimated that in 2017 there will be 23.66 million elderly people in Indonesia. DKI Jakarta recorded that the number of neglected elderly was 5991 people in 2014. Based on BPS data in 2014, it is not known how many elderly people out of a total of 20.24 million elderly or the equivalent of 8.03% of the Indonesian population living in nursing homes. The existence of nursing homes to accommodate the elderly in Indonesia is one form of government attention. The purpose of this study is to describe the Analysis of Elderly Health Facilities (Elderly) at the Tresna Werdha Budi Mulia 1 Social Home, Cipayung, East Jakarta City in 2018, specifically to determine the characteristics of the elderly and the state of patient safety at the orphanage. This study uses a qualitative design with a phenomenological approach. The research was conducted in June and July 2018. In this study, the technique chosen was purposive sampling, due to considerations of time, energy and funding limitations in conducting the research. The data taken are in-depth interviews, observation and document review. Data analysis using triangulation. In general, patient safety in the nursing home bathroom is quite good. The situation for the elderly bathroom is that there are sitting toilets and squat toilets, the bathroom floor is clean and not slippery, there are handrails on every road for the elderly. The beds used by the elderly still do not meet the required standard requirements. This condition is coupled with the behavior of residents who do not keep the bed clean. There are warning signs at the Tresna Werdha Social Home, including a caution sign on the road leading to the bathroom and a slippery floor, there are also signs for evacuation routes along the road. Warning signs in orphanages are used as a function to provide information about conditions such as prohibitions, warnings, requirements for more than help.
