Health Examination and Guidance for Hajj Pilgrims in Bandung City

Abstract
The Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) of Bandung City, West Java, revealed the number of hajj registrants there has reached 51,000 people. While the waiting list for hajj reaches 21 years, the quota for hajj in Bandung every year is 2,427 people. before a prospective pilgrim departs for the holy land, he must first undergo a series of health checks. Because, the ability of prospective pilgrims from the health aspect is also part of the criteria for being able or istithaah hajj. This research is a further analysis carried out in 2021, from the research on the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Health Policy for the Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in 2019. The design used is operational research by taking quantitative and qualitative data. Qualitative data will be collected through FGDs across programs and related sectors as well as in-depth interviews. The information in this research is the West Java Provincial Health Office and Bandung City and Public Health Centers, West Java Regional Office of Religion and Bandung City Religion Office. Indonesian Hajj Health Association (AKHI), Indonesian Hajj Health Doctors Association (PERDOKHI), and 2 Health Centers for Hajj pilgrims (city/village) in Bandung City. Quantitative data were collected from observations during health checks. The results of the first examination showed that there were 2,999 Congregants with Risti status, consisting of 2,506 regular congregants and 493 PIHK congregants. The number of Hajj pilgrims who were examined in the second examination was 3300 people, consisting of 2,733 regular pilgrims and 567 PIHK pilgrims. The results of the determination of Istithaah showed that there were 1,773 people with MS status (eligible) consisting of 1,429 regular congregations and 344 PIHK members. The implementation of health coaching for pilgrims in the city of Bandung has been coordinated quite well.
