Health Services for Hajj Pilgrims in Deli Serdang Regency

Abstract
A total of 602 hajj candidates took part in the grand pilgrimage ritual at the Scout Park of the Deli Serdang Regency Government. Of the 602 hajj candidates who will be departed, consisting of 243 men and 359 women, who are members of two flying groups. However, long before the implementation of the pillars and obligatory hajj, the government has prepared many things to ensure efforts to foster, service and protect the pilgrims, especially in the health sector. This study aims to describe the process of health checks for Hajj pilgrims in Deli Serdang Regency. This research is a further analysis carried out in 2021, from the research on the Evaluation of the Implementation of the Health Policy of Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims in 2019. The design used is operational research. Qualitative data were collected through FGDs and in-depth interviews. The informants were the Health Office of North Sumatra Province and Deli Serdang Regency as well as Public Health Centers, Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion of North Sumatra and the Religious Office of Deli Serdang Regency. Indonesian Hajj Health Association (AKHI), Indonesian Hajj Health Doctors Association (PERDOKHI), 2 Health Centers for Hajj pilgrims (city/village) in Deli Serdang Regency. Quantitative data were collected from observations during health checks. Data analysis using triangulation. Phase 1 health checks from 11 to 20 February 2019 for 621 congregants. Phase 1 examination was carried out in 2 health centers namely Lubuk Pakam and Bandar Khalipah health centers. While the second stage of the examination was carried out on February 25 to March 8, 2019 as many as 616 congregants at the RSUD, Vaccination was carried out on April 23-25 ​​at 2 PKM (PKM Lubuk Pakam and Bandar Khalipah), but when data collection took place there were still one or two congregations Hajj pilgrims who come to the health office who are still vaccinating against meningitis.
