Nursing Care of Family who Experienced Comfortable Disorders Joint Pains with Rheumatism at Pinang Ranti Sub-District Makasar District East Jakarta

Abstract

Rheumatism is a disease that attacks the joints and bones or supporting tissues around joints, and this type of disease is an Autoimmune disease that is mainly suffered by the elderly (aged 50 years and above). Rheumatism usually causes signs and symptoms such as joint pain, swelling, joint stiffness, muscle weakness, joint instability and pain when walking. The purpose of the study carewas to obtain a description of the implementation of family nursing casethat suffered a painful discomfort of Joint Pain with Rheumatism in a case study with the subject of research Mdm Y aged 38 years old and Mr. B aged 48 years old at Pinang Ranti Sub-District Makasar District East Jakarta on 24^th – 27^th April 2018. Family nursing care was carried out to Mdm. Y and Mr. B who experienced joint pains with rheumatism for 3 days using descriptive qualitative study with intervention method. The outcome of this study focused on the first diagnosis i.e. comfortability disorder; joint pains. With a score of 4 based on the outcome, nursing intervention with warm compress is essential to overcome joint pains was carried out on 25^th April 2018. It is recommended that the family brings the family member for regular health check-up at the Community Health Centers or other health services.
