Abstract

Typhoid fever is a infectious disease caused food contaminated with salmonella thypi. Nutritional deficits are insufficient nutrient intake to meet metabolic needs. The purpose of this study is to obtain a description of the implementation of nursing care on patient who have nutritional deficits with typoid fever in RSAU dr. Esnawan Antariksa. This research used descriptive qualitative design of case were 2 patients, 2 family and 1 nurse room. Patients who are the subject of this study are patients with medical diagnosis of typoid fever and nutritional deficit nursing problems. The assessment results show the patients main complaint is no appetite and nausea, based on the enforced nursing diagnosis of nutritional deficit associated with inadequate intake. Planning includes the determination of yhe priority of nursing problems that is the nutritional deficit in priority due to physiological needs, the expected goals are nutrition fulfilled, as well as tehe criteria of appetite patient result, weight gain and not nausea. Interventions are done feed a little but often, suggest eating foods thet are liked, with increased appetite and patients not nauseous. The result of the evaluation data obtained on the diagnosis of nutritional deficit associated with inadequate intake have been resolved, proven by the results of nutrition fulfilled. In carrying out nursing care to patients who experience nutritional deficits gives patients a little to eat but often because it more effectively meets the nutrients.
