Abstract
The behavior of using a mask is an action that everyone must carry out following their function. During the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are one of the PPE that must be used. To increase awareness of the use of masks, each individual must be supported by a positive perception and have strong motivation. This research aims to determine the relationship between perception and motivation and the behavior of using masks during the COVID-19 pandemic among students at SMK Prestasi Agung Jakarta Timur in 2020. This research was conducted using quantitative methods with a cross-sectional study design. Data collection was carried out in July - August 2020 using a Google Form questionnaire. The population in this study was all students with a total sample of 44 students taken using the random sampling method. Data analysis was carried out using the chi-square test. The research results showed that 52.3% of respondents had positive perceptions, 54.4% of respondents had strong motivation, and 54.5% of respondents had good behavior. The research results also show that there is no significant relationship between perception (P Value = 0.771) and motivation (P Value = 0.762) with mask use behavior. Based on the results of the research, it is recommended that the East Jakarta Achievement Vocational School be able to increase and maintain students' understanding regarding the importance of using masks in the school environment during the COVID-19 pandemic.
