Abstract
Adequate and high-quality human resources (HR) are crucial factors in the sustainability of an organization, especially in health care units. To ensure a balance between the number of workers and workload, a workload analysis is needed to determine optimal workforce requirements. This study aims to analyze the needs of Medical Recorders and Health Information (PMIK) workers in the case-mix unit of Permata Bunda General Hospital, Tasikmalaya. The method used in this study is quantitative descriptive with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and measuring working time using a stopwatch. The data obtained were then analyzed using the Health Workload Analysis (ABK-KES) method. The results of the analysis show that the number of inpatient case-mix workers needed is 8 people, while the current workforce is only 2 people. This imbalance between workload and workforce has the potential to reduce work quality due to fatigue and cause delays in claim processing. As a recommendation, it is recommended that hospitals increase the number of workers to match the existing workload. In addition, periodic training is needed to improve competence, optimization of the hospital management information system to improve work efficiency, and periodic evaluation of the workload to ensure the effectiveness of case-mix management.
