Factors Related to Stress in STIKes PHI Students In Compiling the Final Project

Abstract

Stress in learning occurs if there are pressures or discomfort in learning experienced by students. Basic Health Research Data (Riskesdes) in 2013, stated that around 1.33 million people in DKI Jakarta experienced stress, where this figure reached 14% of the total population, with acute stress reaching 1-3% and severe stress reaching 7-10%. The demands from the campus which must require the completion of the thesis and the difficulties experienced during the thesis preparation process will be a pressure for students so that they can experience stress. The purpose of this study was to find out the factors related to stress in STIKes PHI students in compiling the 2019 final project. This research is a quantitative study with a cross sectional design. The dependent variable is: Stress on students, and the independent variables are internal and external factors. The research was conducted at STIKes Persada Husada Indonesia on Campus B, Jati Asih Bekasi City in 2019. The sample in this study was all 50 final year students. The data collection itself by using a questionnaire. Analysis of the data used in this study using Univariate and Bivariate analysis (using chi square analysis with a confidence level of = 0.05). The results showed that the majority of female respondents, most of them had good personalities, had high understanding, and considered the demands of their task to be heavy. In external factors, the social environment and family support mostly support students. For the level of stress, the majority of students suffer from mild stress.
